2024 FILMOGRAPHY
Here are the projects I worked on in 2024
Don't Believe in Those
β‘ The Project:
A short film depicting feelings towards the medical system, based on real experiences. Nicole begs her doctor to believe her as she struggles with her untreated pain.
β‘ My Contribution:
I wrote, directed, casted, produced, edited and production designed this film.
β‘ Collaborators:
Olive Kimbrell was the Director of Photography. Performances by Mandy Tatum and Landon Terranova. Sound by Valentina Ortiz. Gaffing by Alexander Ortiz. Thank you to the Blair family for the location.
β
Welcome to Aloha
β‘ The Project:
A USC CTPR 484 short series. This was USC’s first single-camera comedy series.
β‘ My Contribution:
As a set dresser, I was a key team player in the art department by decorating, building, painting sets, and managing key props. As a reliable and motivated worker, I was asked to do a plethora of tasks from helping crafty set up and distribute lunch, lending a hand with wardrobe, as well as acting as an extra in episode 3, on top of standing guard to redirect traffic.
β‘ Collaborators:
I was brought on the team by Producer Zoey Boyd, while working alongside Christian Restad, Sam Torres, Rebecca Monroe, and Alysha Boone, under the supervision of Fangming Liu and Qian Tang (Jenny). I also got to lend a hand to operations Alfonso Hollingsworth, and AD Benjamin Nestor.
β
REMATCH
β‘ The Project:
A USC CTPR 290 intense comedy short film about Steven challenging himself to beat Drew in chess.
β‘ My Contribution:
I wrote, directed, DPed and produced this film. Shooting over 60 angles in under 4 hours without an assistant director. Without a team behind me, I relied on my organizational skills in pre-production, limiting my lighting setups. After the shoot I had a blast using Avid Media Composer to superimpose images and utilize split-screens in order to build tension and the illusion of time passing quicker than it is.
β‘ Collaborators:
Features performances from Luke Dorado and Alex Luce. Fin Liu is an extra, Hailey Armentrout helped with props, and Olive Kimbrell was a camera assistant.
β
Dating Advice
β‘ The Project:
A dialogue-driven short film in which friends reflect on how their seemingly harmless advice could hurt relationships.
β‘ My Contribution:
I wrote and directed this short, focusing not only on my communication with actors but also practicing working with a director of photography, Olive Kimbrell, for the first time. I edited, produced, and was in charge of the wardrobe.
β‘ Collaborators:
Olive Kimbrell shot, Landon Terravona scored, Julia Marwah boomed. Performances by Isabella Low and Valentina Ortiz.
β
CALL MY BLUFF
β‘ The Project:
A USC CTPR 285 short film about action, adventure, and betrayal.
β‘ My Contribution:
I wrote, directed over 25 actors, was the director of photography, produced, edited, choreographed multiple fight scenes, animated an intro, casted, etc.
β‘ Collaborators:
Assistant director Fin Liu. Main performances by Blane Solis, Jordan Geiger, Katie Youn, Nobert Otieno and Micah Eisenberg.
β
Free Will
β‘ The Project:
A USC CTPR 285 short film about my stream of consciousness.
β‘ My Contribution:
I did everything.
β‘ Collaborators:
None.
β
Dr. Supernova's Evil Plan
β‘ The Project:
A USC CTPR 587 short film about Dr. Supernova balancing his evil duties and babysitting his adorable daughter. USC’s first virtual thesis film, made using the Sony LED wall.
β‘ My Contribution:
As a set dresser I painted key environmental pieces, built the set and constantly shifted main props alongside a team to align with the perspective of the LED wall. Furthermore, while the boom operators were unable to attend, I stepped in to boom operate for a few hours, demonstrating my passion for filmmaking and desire to help.
